2.1 - Activity 1 - Nested HTML Tags: Lists and Tables

Welcome to the first activity of the second section of modules!

Key Terms:

nested tags - When one tag is placed within another, i.e. after it's opening tag, and before it's closing tag
indenting tags - Adding (ignored) spaces at the beginning of the line to show that one tag is "in" another. This is considered best practice for professional code because it makes code easier to read and helps prevent mistakes.

Time to start dealing with multiple files.

This is the first activity that cannot be completed entirely using the online file editor. Most future activities will be the same. Because dealing with multiple files adds extra complications, you will need use your local file browser on your computer.

2.1 - Activity 4 - Semantic Tags

To round out Lesson 2.1, we'll start with pasting directories with CSS, then we'll do a tour of a collection of "semantic tags", which are used to arrange your site into "boxes" or a visual layout. This will be building up a more complicated, visually bright and interesting web design. Consider looking at the solution before beginning this activity.
